The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Reach Zora’s Domain Walkthrough
Starting from the Ta’loh Naeg Shrine that is aboveBreath of the Wild’s Kakariko Village, players should start headingnorthward, climbing as necessary. After traveling in this direction for a short time, fans will encounter a ledge that overlooks a large swamp, and they should glide down toDaka Tuss Shrinethat is situated within it. While it is not mandatory that players complete this Shrine right now, they should at least activate it in order to create a fast-travel point.
Players should now travelnorthwithin the swamp, passing through the Goponga Village Ruins as they make their way toward yet another Shrine in the distance. As fans approach that Shrine, they will be contacted by Ledo, aZora, who will direct them toward Inogo Bridge. When that conversation comes to an end, players should swim north across the river, travel east toLanayu Tower, and scale that tower to reveal the map of the region.
Fans should now jump from the north side of Lanayu Tower and glide to the nearbyInogo Bridge. Here, players will speak with Sidon, and they will receive an Electro Elixir and the Reach Zora’s Domain quest upon its conclusion.
While this quest is quite straightforward in its instruction, actually reachingZora’s Domain inBreath of the Wildcan be a bit difficult. Indeed, the path eastward is filled with Lizalfos, Octoroks, and other enemies that look to impede Link’s progress, and here are some recommendations that may help players complete this part of their journeys:
As fans follow the path east, they will encounter Sidon several times. Players will also cross a couple bridges, the last of which isLuto’s Crossing. Here, fans will battle a very large Moblin, and they will finally reachZora’s Domainafter slaying that enemy.
Upon arriving at this location, players should activate theNe’ez Yohma Shrine, turning it into a fast-travel point, and head to thethrone roomat the top. It is in this room that fans will speak with King Dorephan and receive the Divine Beast Vah Ruta quest andBreath of the Wild’s Zora Armor.

After obtaining the Divine Beast Vah Ruta quest, players should head down from the throne room and speak withMutu, who is in conversation with Sidon. This action will ultimately trigger a cutscene, and fans should equip the Zora Armor and speak with Mutu again when it concludes to receive their next task.
This task centers around collecting 20Shock Arrows inBreath of the Wild, which players can find in thePloymus Mountain. To reach this location, players should head up toward the throne room and use the eastern bridge to leave Zora’s Domain. Beyond the bridge, players will encounter a sign that points toward a shortcut to Ploymus Mountain. This shortcut manifests as a series of waterfall, which players can swim up thanks to the Zora Armor’s special ability.
After swimming up three waterfalls and doing a bit of climbing, fans will find themselves on top of the mountain, though Link is not alone. Indeed, there is also a Lynel patrolling this area, and players are strongly advised tonotengage it in combat. For the uninitiated,Breath of the Wild’s Lynelscan prove to be quite formidable foes, and fans should maintain distance and hide behind terrain as they collect Shock Arrows from the trees and ground in the area.
With 20 Shock Arrows in hand, players should head to the south side of the peak, where they will find a sign that cautions against jumping from the edge. Players should disregard that advice and glide toward the walkway that extends into the East Reservoir Lake below. Sidon is on that walkway, and fans can speak with him to initiate a water-based battle withBreath of the Wild’s Vah Ruta.
This battle begins with some icy projectiles being hurled at Link, and fans should destroy those objects with the Cryonsis Rune before they hit. Once all the projectiles have been shattered, Sidon will swim near to Vah Ruta, and players should swim up one of the streams of water flowing from its side and hit a pink circle on its back with a Shock Arrow. Fans must then repeat this entire process three more times, destroying a total of four pink circles, to gain entry to thisDivine Beast inBreath of the Wild.
It is now time for players to work through the Vah Ruta dungeon, and they will complete it after activating a series of terminals and defeating Waterblight Ganon. ThisBreath of the WildVah Ruta dungeon walkthroughwill help fans that are having a bit of trouble within the Divine Beast, and they should collect the Heart Container and examine the main control unit when the boss is slain. Players will then be treated to a cutscene, and they can complete the Divine Beast Vah Ruta quest by returning to the Zora’s Domain throne room when that scene ends.
