Xbox Game Pass Is Home to The Fallout Franchise

Every Fallout Game Available on Xbox Game Pass

Bethesda’s entire tenure with theFalloutfranchise is currently available on Xbox Game Pass, and can all be played on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and even viaXbox Cloud streaming. For any new fans of theFalloutfranchise looking for somewhere to start after finishing the acclaimed Amazon show, there’s no better place than Xbox Game Pass, though choosing a starting title is no easy task, with the “right” answer changing wildly depending on which fans are being asked.

First released in 2008,Fallout 3wasBethesda’s firstFalloutgame, and it’s the outing that popularized the series for the modern age of gaming. A classic Bethesda open-world RPG through and through,Fallout 3may feel a bit dated now in terms of graphics and combat gameplay, but its world is still engrossing, its story is still intriguing. Since it was originally intended as a jumping-on point for newcomers, it’s a great place for newFalloutfans to start.

However, some fans will point newcomers in the direction ofFallout New Vegasinstead. Developed by Obsidian and released just two years afterFallout 3,Fallout New Vegasis widely considered by many fans to bethe bestFalloutgame ever made, boasting some incredible writing, world design, and characters. Though its gameplay is fairly similar toFallout 3,New Vegasstands apart for all these reasons, and though new players are thrust into the world quite quickly, that might actually be a positive for those who have already been introduced to the universe via theFalloutshow.

Some fans might also suggest thatnewcomers start withFallout 4. The newest of the single-player entries,Fallout 4is a gigantic game that features some much-needed gameplay improvements from its prior entries, making it the best-feelingFalloutgame to play. Though not many fans will recommend it as a starterFalloutvideo game experience,Fallout 76is still a solid option for those looking to take to the wastelands with some friends, with the game having received plenty of content updates since launch.

The Original Fallout Games are on PC Game Pass

For those with a PC, Game Pass has even moreFalloutcontent to check out. As well as havingFallout 3,New Vegas,4, and76, PC Game Pass also hasFallout 1,2, andTactics. Released in 1997, 1998, and 2001 respectively, theseclassicFalloutgamesprobably aren’t the best jumping-on points for new fans due to their dated UI and gameplay elements and their harsh difficulty, but they do offer a comprehensive history of the entire franchise, and it’s nice to have the vast majority ofFalloutgames in one spot.
