Summary
Superheroes are supposed to be the good guys who protect people from villains and represent the values that society upholds. Yet, that’s not exactly the case with The Seven. InThe Boys, the most powerful superhero team is largely made up of morally bankrupt individuals who primarily think of themselves, and not the good of the many.
There are a few notable exceptions inThe Boys, but most of the team is rotten to the core. They have considerable special powers, though, which allow them to do whatever they want. And the more powerful the members of The Seven become, the more difficult it is for the titular boys to stop them.

Updated on July 19, 2025, by Jake Fillery:The Seven is the most prestigious and diabolical team of superheroes in The Boys' universe. Whilst the Amazon Prime show does a good job of showcasing these heroes, their sinister behaviors, and powers, The Boys comic sheds light on characters in The Seven that have yet to be introduced into Amazon Prime’s live-action show, or perhaps, never will be. As everyone awaits the potential new members of The Seven in Season 4, it’s a good time to look at the strongest members of The Seven from the show and the comics.
12Lamplighter
Notable Powers: Pyrokinesis
Lamplighter used to be a member of The Seven but was demoted for unknown reasons, but those reasons may be that Vought knew that Lamplighter was a blackmailed spy working for Billy Butcher and his team. Regardless of the blackmail, Lamplighter’s powers are not too impressive, and neither is his costume.
Lamplighter focuses on pyrokinesis, allowing him to control fire with his very being. Lamplighter is known to bend fire to his will, expanding it, making it stronger, and using it to burn people to death. However, considering many heroes have great durability, this fire isn’t going to do much, especially when he could potentially self-immolate.

11Supersonic
Notable Powers: Sonic Clap, Superhuman Strength
Supersonic may not have been a member of The Seven for long, but his connection to Starlight and his willingness to do the right thing made him a memorable hero, even if it was short-lived. Supersonic looked up to Homelander, but little did he know that his idol would be a cynical murderer who would see his end. Supersonic doesn’t have the most impressive set of powers, and audiences barely see him involved in any action.
As the winner of the American Hero reality show from Vought, Supersonic was able to join The Seven, even if it was short-lived. His ability to clap his hands together and create powerful and damaging sound waves is great for causing disturbances and area-of-effect damage to foes, but it’s certainly no match to anyone who can just get out of the way, or ensure he can’t clap his hands.

10The Deep
Notable Powers: Aquatic Telepathy, Amphibious Physiology
The Deep has a very centered power, one that makes other superheroes laugh at him. The rest of The Seven doesn’t take him seriously, something Starlight soon finds out after she joins the team. When Starlight threatens him, The Deep backs off, proving he’s not on her level despite the fact that Starlight has barely joined the team whileThe Deep has been a part of The Sevenfor a while.
The Deep’s powers have a limited scale and are mostly connected to water-oriented crime. The Deep can telepathically communicate with sea creatures as well as breathe underwater. Even though these powers can be impressive when used under the right circumstances, when The Deep tries to defeat The Sevenmembers with them, he ultimately fails.

9Translucent
Notable Powers: Invisibility, Indestructibility
The reason why Translucent ranks so low is that he didn’t survive as long as other superheroes. Even his powers didn’t help him when the Boys captured him and Hughie had him explode from the inside in one of the many macabre scenes ofThe Boys. Translucent can become invisible, but he has to be naked when he does so, which limits the use of the power to a certain degree.
Ina fight between him, Hughie, and Butcher, Translucent initially has the upper hand, but it doesn’t take Hughie long to figure out how to knock Translucent out; powers or no powers. In the end, his greatest advantage is having a seemingly impenetrable skin, but even that proves to fail when the Boys figure out a way to implant a bomb inside Translucent’s body.

8Jack From Jupiter
Notable Powers: Superhuman Strength, Invulnerability
A character from the comic that is doubtful to appear in the show, and in particular, Season 4, Jack From Jupiter is one of the primary members of The Seven, and his vices are rather dangerous, as he isn’t shy about his love for sex workers and drugs. Jack From Jupiter doesn’t get up to much superhero work, but his strength is pretty incredible, and even better, is his invulnerability, which he can summon with just a word:Carpo.
Whilst Jack From Jupiter might not be able to fight every superhero, his saving grace is his invulnerability. Once he says that magic word, nothing can harm him, and his confidence only grows, as he showcases an ability to withstand tank missiles and even punches from the most dangerous of The Seven.

7Mister Marathon
Notable Powers: Super Speed
The original speedster on The Seven, Mister Marathon was definitely faster than the average man, but his lack of training with his powers made him completely incompetent. Whilst he might not have ran into the odd person in a crowd and vaporized them like his replacement, A-Train, he most definitely is not better than him, as A-Train’s speed and his addiction to Compound V make him far more dangerous and stronger than Mister Marathon.
Mister Marathon’s time in the comics was short-lived, and it’s pretty obvious from his brief appearances that his value to The Seven isn’t exactly the best. It’s a shame he hasn’t debuted in the show, as a race between him and A-Train would’ve been fun to see.

6A-Train
Unlike other members of The Seven, A-Train only has one major power. He’s super fast, and considered the fastest man alive, just like the Flash. Even though he’s stronger than other people, he’s not on the same level as Homelander, for example, and seems to be afraid of him.
That’s why he murders his own girlfriend rather than risking The Seven and Vought learning about what he’d done. A-Train’s speed is impressive and helps him win a race against another speedster, but it doesn’t change the fact that A-Train boosts his powers by taking drugs. That makes him more prone to failure than most of The Seven. A-Train’s use of performance-enhancing drugs has left him slower than usual, considering the risk of his heart exploding, so he can’t perform as the fastest man alive as best as he would like. Sadly, this doesn’t mean his position is up for competition, meaningLove Sausage isn’t getting on the team.

5Starlight
Notable Powers: Energy Manipulation, Superhuman Strength
Starlight is the one member of The Seven who has genuinely good intentions and wants to help people. Unfortunately for her, she’s not the most powerful member of the team, so she has to work with others to influence The Seven from the inside and stop her villainous co-members from committing evil. As her superhero name suggests, Starlight can absorb electricity and send it out in a blast of light.
That’s enough to blind her opponents temporarily or knock them out. She’s also stronger and less likely to get hurt than others. She’s not as proficient in handling her powers as older superheroes, though, and her morals also keep her from using her full strength against others. That said, she was able to stop A-Train from hurting Hughie, but, on the other hand, needed Queen Maeve’s help to deal with Black Noir. That proves that Starlight is powerful, but not the strongest member of The Seven.

4Black Noir
Notable Powers: Pain Suppressants, Master Martial Artist
The most silent member of The Seven,Black Noir is both deadly and dangerous. He doesn’t shy away from killing people and has no moral qualms about it, unlike Queen Maeve. He has an impressive list of powers, including superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability, reflexes, hearing… and, of course, he also heals faster than normal, non-enhanced people.
Yet, despite all his powers, the protagonists manage to dispose of him by using his one significant weakness: an allergy to nuts. Queen Maeve forces him to eat it to help Starlight escape when Black Noir attacks her. The strategy works, and Black Noir ends up catatonic. Considering the relative ease with which Queen Maeve disposes of him, Black Noir is clearly not the strongest member of The Seven when it comes to powers or smarts, and this Batman spoof’s story is not over yet.

3Queen Maeve
Notable Powers: Superhuman Strength, Superhuman Reflexes
For this ranking, it’s best to count Queen Maeve before she loses her powers in Soldier Boy’s de-powering blast. In many ways,Queen Maeve has powers similar to those of Homelander, the team’s leader. She’s super strong, almost impossible to hurt, lightning-fast, and has superhuman reflexes and senses. Homelander overpowers her, though, and, as such, Queen Maeve does her best to stay out of his way and not antagonize him even though she doesn’t always agree with him.
Additionally, Queen Maeve is unable to fly like Homelander, which stops her from saving the passengers in the plane that Homelander willingly allows to crash. Queen Maeve’s powers are actually quite similar to Wonder Woman’s, but she’s not quite on the same power level as the Amazon princess.
