There are a great many ways to have fun inSkyrim’s expansive open world; from nude racing up the 7,000 steps to High Hrothgar, to running through a kill-everyone playthrough. As a game surpassing 10-years-old, players must increasingly find new methods of entertainment inSkyrim, whether that be through fan-made mods or by creating their own interesting challenges.
One of the many hindrances to completing these challenges are the NPCs who populateSkyrim’s towns and cities. On their predetermined paths, their regular interruptions, unprompted comments, and messy path-finding can make for plenty of humorous interactions with players, as we see in a hilarious cabbage tossing clip on Reddit.

Uploaded to the r/skyrim subreddit, user ClassicNegan shows their character taking a cabbage from a cart inthe sleepy village of Riverwoodand attempting to get it into a cauldron using only their head and the game’s physics. UnlikeFIFA 22,Skyrimis not designed for accurate cabbage trick shots, much less ones that are frequently interrupted by irritating NPCs. In the middle of lining up a shot, Hilda, Riverwood’s paranoid pensioner pariah, walks through town knocking over the cauldron in the process. We then briefly see ClassicNegan unsheathe a greatsword and raise it before they cut back to attempting another trick shot.
Following another failed attempt, Embry, the town drunk, knocks the cauldron over yet again and quickly faces ClassicNegan’s wrath. Now, with a mounting pile of corpses at their feet, they realign the cauldron for another try. After a few more attempts, Sigrid begins approaching, and before she can even get close to the cauldron, ClassicNegan withdraws their weapon and kills her. Given how frequentlySkyrim’s NPCs and creatures can mess with items, it’s hard to fault their precariousness. Finally, with the ground soaked in the blood of innocents, they head the cabbage into the cauldron and perform some celebratory jumping.
The rip-roaring jump cuts, smashingbrutal images ofSkyrim’s killcamstogether with clips of cabbages, thoroughly add to the insanity of the video. Moreover, the consistent bumbling of villagers and their uncanny parroting of the same phrase whenever ClassicNegan draws their weapon makes the video even funnier.
Commentors commend ClassicNegan’s comedic timing, demonstrating the power of proficient editing as well as their instinctive understanding of what makes a funny video. User TheCreepyLady expresses their love that ClassicNegan “didn’t even wait for the third one” to knock over the cauldron. In response, they explain that “This was about an hour in,” showing just how much work goes into a fairly short video.
