Resident Evil 4 Remake’s Difficulty Settings
Upon booting up a new save file for theResident Evil 4remake, players will be asked to choose between three difficulty options:Assisted, Standard, and Hardcore. We mentioned earlier that there are four difficulty options for this game, and that’s because the last one, and the hardest, is only unlocked after beating the game once.

Can You Change the Difficulty in Resident Evil 4 Remake?
The difficulty cannot be changed in theResident Evil 4remake, at least when it comes to making the game harder. The only way to change the difficulty is if players choose ‘Standard’ initially. Once they die and get the game over screen, they’ll have the option to make the game easier by switching it to the Assisted mode.
It’s also worth noting that there are several trophies and achievements tied to beatingResident Evil 4on certain difficulties. For example, thePeerless Agent trophyrequires players to complete the main game on Professional Mode difficulty.
