In a recent Reddit post, user toriaesth posted images of her outstanding Sadie cosplay to theRed Dead Redemptionsubreddit. Toriaesth’s representation of Adler is one of her most iconic appearances, with her brown hat, yellow button down shirt, and brown trousers with suspenders. The look is featured for a couple of chapters duringRed Dead Redemption 2, and one that is instantly recognizable by fans. While it is always exciting to see players demonstrate their creativity by makingRed Dead Onlinecharacters based off other properties, it does not compare to people taking characters and embodying them so perfectly as toriaesth does here.
Currently sitting at 5.7k upvotes and already receiving many Reddit awards, toriaesth’s cosplay has quickly resonated withRed Deadfans. Many users commented about their confusion, toriaesth’s cosplay being so authentic people thinking that they were actually just looking at screenshots of Adler. Other users point out how toriaesth’s interpretation of Adler is respectful to the character, not embellishing or overly sexualizing the character as is common with many cosplays. Unlike other characters from other franchises whose cosplay requires extensive prosthetics and custom-made items, likePeebee fromMass Effect, toriaesth’s Adler cosplay is a reminder that cosplaying does not have to be overly complicated to be effective.
In the comments of the post, torieaesth reveals some information about the photoshoot of these pictures. The pictures were taken last year and remarkably, was torieaesth’s first ever cosplay, making the interpretation all the more impressive.
