Pokemon Sleepand the Hyatt Hotel Corporation have partnered to create aPokemon Sleep-themed room for fans to stay in. The entire room, in addition to the hotel’s menu, have been customized as a way of celebrating the first anniversary of thePokemon Sleepapp.
Pokemon Sleepis a bit unusual in the realm ofPokemongames and apps. While mostPokemontitles are games first and foremost,Pokemon Sleepis designed to be a way of tracking and improving one’s sleep patterns. By recording the player’s sleep, Pokemon in the game flock to asnoozing island Snorlaxto take a nap. After the recording is complete, the player can recruit the Pokemon to their team, who can then find ingredients for creating meals for Snorlax, as well as providing additional bonuses in the game.

Pokemon Sleep’s emphasis on sleeping and eating have been highlighted at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. From July 1 through September 1, the hotel is offering aPokemon Sleep-themed room. The room is decked out with Pokemon plush toys and a mini campsite emulating the ones found in the app.Pokemonfans who stay in the room will be able to take home some of the fun with them, as well. Four normal-sized Pokemon plushies are added to every room, which fans can take home at the end of their stay.
In addition, a giveaway bag will be given to guests that contains aPokemon-themed t-shirt, reusable mini drink bottle, herbal tea, and bath salts to unwind with. For bigfans ofPokemonand Snorlaxin particular, staying in the room should be quite a treat, but being able to take home a piece of the experience should also appeal to fans.
While the room and take-home bonuses are likely to please, the hotel is also offering a themed menu in its restaurant. The menu includes decorated Pokemon cookies, themed beverages, desserts, and burgers, with one featuring a Pikachu design and another featuring Snorlax. The designs appear to be partially based off thefood recipes inPokemon Sleep, so fans can try out some of their favorites in real life.
What’s New in Pokemon Sleep
Pokemon Sleepregularly receives updates that add new events and bonuses to the game. New islands are also added on occasion, which bring new Pokemon encounters and rewards for players to earn. At the time of writing,Pokemon Sleepis hosting its latest Good Sleep Day event, which is held during every full moon for three nights. Players can earn extra EXP, Drowsy Power, and sleep points for logging their sleep time during this period.
