Despite the fact thatthe ongoing seven-star Tera raid battle against Mewtwois the main focus, a new YouTube trailer did not slip past keen-eyedPokemontrainers. Recently,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetreleased a video on Nintendo’s main channel to promote The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Though the video is entirely in Japanese, some smoother graphics and steadier performance were observed in some key scenes of the trailer. The scenes that showed a little more polish included the battle against Ogerpon in The Teal Mask and the environmental panorama of The Indigo Disk, with increased anti-aliasing and smoother Pokemon animations on returning Pokemon such as Charmander and Alolan Exeggutor.
It goes without saying that these observations should be taken with a grain of salt. All footage shown in promotional material fromPokemon Scarlet and Violetis subject to change before The Teal Mask is released on September 13. But given the fact thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetcontinued to have performance issues since launch, the trailer may come as a breath of fresh air forPokemonfans hoping for improvements. It remains to be seen ifthe improvements are noticeable across the board inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, or are exclusive to areas that trainers will visit in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC.
Thoughleaks concerning The Teal Maskare circulating on social media, the graphical upgrade was not among the ones listed. Only time will tell ifPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill continue to release performance updates going forward.
