The following contains spoilers for episode 1 ofLokion Disney Plus. Lokiis already messing with the rules of time in the MCU, but it’s not as though something like this was unexpected, given the nature of the lead character. Already, the first episode shows off Loki’s rebellious and chaotic nature, while alsotaking the time to explain how time travel- specifically in regards to the Time Variance Authority and their mission - works, both to Loki as well as to the viewer....

As some may recall, the 2013 DICE Summit was attended by some of entertainment’s biggest icons, including Valve’s Gabe Newell, andStar Wars: The Force Awakensdirector JJ Abrams. The advent of Disney Plus has given its major live-action studios (such asMarvel Studiosand Lucasfilm) a lot of room to explore new avenues of their respective franchises and source materials. Now, Marvel Studios has set its sights on applying the same Disney Plus-original idea to holiday specials, and they’ve started with an exciting option because they are now casting for a Halloween special that will adapt a notable werewolf story from the Marvel comic pantheon known asWerewolf by Night....

Nintendo has released an earnings document for investors that teases an upcoming slate of video games, including possible release dates. While not explicitly stated in the document, it does seem to suggest that one of the Nintendo Switch’s biggest exclusive games,Metroid Prime 4, could still be years away from launch. The document listsMetroid Prime 4(which is apparently a temporary title) as having a vague release date of TBA. Some may take this as meaning thatMetroid Prime 4could very well launch in 2018, but other games in the document coming in 2018 are dated as “2018 or later,” including thePokemonRPG for the Switch....

One of the most exciting new features coming withBattlefield 2042is its new Portal mode. The mode is a bold new addition for the series, and allows players to build their own custom game modes using weapons, maps, vehicles, and other assets from multiple games throughout the series. It also includes a server browser so that players can find one another’s creations and jump into any that catch their eye. There is still a lot that fans excited forBattlefield 2042are waiting to see about the mode, but it is undeniable that it has some very exciting possibilities....

Every year, Hollywood produces more reboots and remakes intended to kickstart a brand-new franchise. Often times, however, when these films come out, they’re either lackluster at best or simply terrible films. Either way, any hope of a new franchise is dashed immediately when they release tocritical and commercial failure. Summary Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Teal Mask DLC may not have been as ground-breaking as the base Gen 9 games, but it does seem like it is building up the story of The Indigo Disk expansion, following the character arc of Kieran and all-new characters alike.
