While the next Halloween Terror event is still a few months away, oneOverwatchfan has clearly started to think about what skins it could include. If they have their way, Bastion will be getting a specialOverwatchoutfit themed around a haunted house.
Thus far, Bastion only has oneHalloween Terror skin, and it is very different from the one created by Reddit user Ana_Amari. The skin sees the robot transforming into a tombstone, with his flying friend Ganymede becoming a raven. The phrase “RIP” can be seen on Bastion’s chest as well. While the Epic skin is neat, it has been a few years since it released, so it would be great to see Blizzard add in a Legendary design for the robot.

Ana_Amari’s conceptsees Bastion reworkedfrom a robot into a house, and the skin seems right up Blizzard’s alley based on pastOverwatchcosmetics. His head is replaced by a small window, with the yellow light and extended exterior doing a terrific job of keeping Bastion’s normal aesthetic. Another section of the House extends from his midsection, while a tree with orange leaves is placed behind him to add to this spooky artwork. Bats can also be seen overhead, and one is used to give Ganymede a particularly memorable redesign.
Perhaps the coolest thing about thisOverwatchskin conceptis what the artist does with his arms. One of Bastion’s arms takes the form of an old tree, with the wood taking the shape of the character’s usual appendage. Some branches do cover it, though, and the way Bastion’s hand extends from the wood is neat. As for the other arm, the use of graves serves as both a great homage to his original Halloween Terror skin as well as a standout look for his gun arm. While fan do not see the concept in turret or tank mode, it is safe to assume that those transformations would look great as well.
One easily missable detail of this concept is pointed out by Reddit user ceddzz3000, and it has to do with the skin’s turret. While it is true that gamers do not get to see Bastion’s turret mode in action, they do know what his turret would look like. The large red chimney on Bastion’s back would surely be the hero’s minigun based on its positioning, doing a great job of improving the concept. While Halloween Terror is still a fair bit away, skins like this one andthe terrifying fan-made D.Va mechshow that gamers are looking forward to it.
Until October rolls around, players can partake inthe Summer Games 2021 eventand collect the fun, outdoorsy skins. If designs as great as Haunted House Bastion show up in this year’s Halloween Terror, though, it could end up being an even more exciting event.
