OneOverwatch 2player has pointed out an intriguing similarity between skins for Junker Queen and Wrecking Ball, and it could be an intentional decision by Blizzard. With 35 different characters,Overwatch 2includes a wide variety of skins. While the way that these cosmetics are unlocked in the sequel is steeped in controversy, it is hard to deny that many of them are visually impressive, such as some for Wrecking Ball.

Even thoughWrecking Ball was one of the later heroes added to the originalOverwatch, he still contains a number of Legendary skins. While his Horizon and Lunar skins are impressive-looking, along with his several event-themed skins, one fan has noted a particularly interesting detail about another one of his Legendary outfits, which is themed around Junkertwon, the home of several other heroes.

In a post on Reddit, a user known as SeeOurTea posted an image comparing thedefaultOverwatch 2skin for Junker Queenwith the Legendary Junker skin for Wrecking Ball. Specifically, the Reddit user highlighted the similarities between the haircuts of the two heroes. “I like to think Junkerqueen gave Hammond this haircut,” they said when posting the image to Reddit. It is not hard to see the similarities the gamer talked about, as both characters featured blue mohawks.

While it is unknown whether the developer intentionally made these skins look related design-wise, it seems likely based on information about the Wrecking Ball Legendary skin in the shop. The name for the skin, Junker, is likely a reference to Junkertown, the home of Junker Queen. This skin for Wrecking Ball could also have been a tease to Junker Queen years before the character was officially revealed. In addition to the Junker skin, Blizzard released another Legendary called Mayhem, which had a similar design for the tank except with a much more vibrant color palette.

Since SeeOurTea posted the clip to Reddit, many members of theOverwatch 2community have been commenting on the intriguing similarities between the designs. In addition, some said they already believed there was a connection between the skins, with one gamer noting aposter of Junker Queen in the originalOverwatchhelped tip them off. “It was a teaser we just didn’t know what we had back then,” another user said.
