E3 2019 is right around the corner, with Nintendo set to host the final presentation on June 11 at 9am PT. In anticipation of E3, Nintendo confirmed three more games for the show, so Nintendo Switch owners have even more reason to tune in to theE3 2019 Nintendo Direct.
Earlier today on social media, Nintendo confirmed thatThe Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening,Luigi’s Mansion 3, andMarvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Orderwill be featured at E3 2019. These games join the likes ofPokemon SwordandShield, as well asSuper Mario Maker 2. In total, that’s at least five upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusives that have been confirmed for E3 2019.
In addition to upcoming games, Nintendo’s E3 2019 will also feature some previously-released games as well. More specifically, the likes ofSplatoon 2andSuper Smash Bros. Ultimatewill be showcased at E3 2019, with both expected to get new DLC announcements at the show.
Meanwhile, there are a couple of games that are notably absent from Nintendo’s E3 2019 lineup. One such game isMetroid Prime 4, which recentlyrestarted development at Retro Studios. Since the game was scrapped and started over from scratch, it’s not all that surprising that it’s not being advertised for E3 2019. However, maybe fans will get their first look at whatever Retro was working on before it shifted focus toMetroid Prime 4.
Another game that’s notably absent from Nintendo’s E3 2019 lineup isAnimal Crossingfor Switch. Last we heard,Animal CrossingSwitch was due for release by the end of the year, so it would be weird if Nintendo didn’t include it as part of its E3 2019 festivities. Of course, the fact that it’s not being advertised for E3 2019 is far from a confirmation that it won’t be at the show, so fans may still have a chance to see the game in action. After all, these newly announced games are confirmed to be “playable,” so maybeAnimal CrossingSwitch will make an appearance, but just won’t have a playable demo on the show floor.
Along with these announced titles for E3 2019, Nintendo is also expected to make surprise game announcements. What these games will be is anyone’s guess, and so fans will just have to tune in to the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct on June 11 at 9am PT.
