The long-awaitedCupheadanimated show is finally coming to Netflix, and it appears the program is going to be arriving at the streaming service a bit sooner than people expected. A new trailer forThe Cuphead Showdropped on Tuesday morning and along with plenty of cartoon hijinx, the release date for the series was announced.
The series two main characters,Cupheadand Mugman, first became popular in a platformer that first came to the Xbox and PC and then eventually made its way to the PlayStation.TheCupheadgame became popular, in part, because of its graphical approach that uses hand painted cells to bring a “cartoon from the 1930s” vibe.

From the latest trailer, it appears as thoughNetflix’sCupheadshowis going to capitalize on the same approach. The new trailer shows off the two mainCupheadcharacters getting into a wide variety of crazy adventures. It also features how the two characters are going to talk, and it should come as no surprise that they seem to have a kind of “old-timey” sound to them as well, considering what the general theme of the show is supposed to be.
The new trailer also seems to show some action from the first episode of thisnew version ofCupheadand his adventures. The first episode will see Cuphead and Mugman tangle with the actual devil, who also happens to be a character in the video game. That first episode is apparently going to see the pair head into a Carnevil, which is actually just a trick set up by the devil to lure them in.
The trailer shows plenty of other action is set to unfold in this 10-episode season. Tru Valentino will take on the role of Cuphead whileWayne Brady is set to voice King Dice. What isn’t yet known, and may not be all that important considering the craziness that was shown off in this latest trailer, is whether the show is going to have a story run through all 10 episodes or 10 stand-alone stories.
In addition to showing off the unique visuals ofCupheadin the new trailer, Netflix finally announced the official release date. It turns out that the series is going to hit the streaming service in exactly one month. The 10-episode bunch will arrive as one on July 14, 2025. Whether more seasons are planned after that one is also still unknown.
