In most modern video games, there is an auto-save option that is constantly keeping track of the players' progress. This means that many gamers have become used to simply turning off their console whenever they want without fear of losing any significant progress in whatever game they’re playing. However,Kingdom Hearts 3has a more old-school save mechanic that’s in line with previous games in the series.
To save inKingdom Hearts 3, players have to visit a save point and manually save their game (they can also save when in the Gummiship Garage). Save points are located in multiple locations throughout every game world, and it’s recommended that players save their game as often as possible. While they won’t necessarily lose any progress if they die in battle, it’s always a good idea to keep one’s save file as up to date possible to limit any frustration.
To make things easier, save points are actually marked on the mini-map in the top right corner of the screen. They’re usually accompanied by a Moogle Shop, so players can restock their inventory before saving their game and make themselves better prepared when they’re ready to continue their adventure across thevarious Disney worldsofKingdom Hearts 3.
Something thatKingdom Hearts 3players may want to consider is having multiple save slots, especially as they near the end of the game. This way they can be sure to avoid any points of no return and go back through the worlds to collect anything they may have missed on their initial playthrough. This could include things like the Golden Hercules figures at Olympus and other collectibles in the game.
The primary collectible inKingdom Hearts 3are theLucky Emblemsthat are hidden throughout the game worlds. Some of these Lucky Emblems are rather hard to spot, but luckily Donald and Goofy often point them out when they’re nearby. Players can use these audio clues to locate the exact location of the Lucky Emblems.
At any rate, knowing how to save is integral for anyone who hopes to get throughKingdom Hearts 3, as it is arguably the biggest game in the series to date.
