Ubisoft’s 2003 action-adventure gameBeyond Good & Evilis somewhat of a cult classic. It was critically acclaimed but was not necessarily a blockbuster best seller. But over the years, it’s clear that the game holds a special place in fans' hearts.Talks of a proper sequel have been circulating for years.But untilBeyond Good & Evil 2becomes an official reality, Ubisoft has been getting as much mileage out ofBeyond Good & Evilas possible.
Console players have gottenBeyond Good & Evilfor free in the recent past as well.The game came to PlayStation for freewith PlayStation Plus almost a year ago, and it hitXbox’s Games with Gold monthly promotionjust two months ago in August.

As forBeyond Good & Evil 2, the game was confirmed to be in pre-production by its creator Michel Ancel, who is working on the game with Ubisoft Montpellier. He posted some concept art for the sequel earlier this week.
The sequel has been in some sort of stage of development for the past eight years. First announced in 2008, but has disappeared from the radar (beingcompletely MIA from E3for years) only to reappear at certain times withUbisoft confirming it was still happening.
So while it looks like the sequel is now charging forward into more active development, it could still be years before the launch ofBeyond Good & Evil 2. In the meantime, besides gettingglimpses of the future, fans will have to continue to revisit the classic much-loved original.
