Developer HoYoverse had earlier confirmed that a PlayStation version ofHonkai: Star Railis also in development, but it would not release with the other editions of the game.Honkai: Star Railofficially came out in April 2023, but the development team had not released an update on the state of the PlayStation version until this new trailer. Now, it looks like PlayStation fans may have to wait longer than expected to playHonkai: Star Railon PS5.

The Summer Game Fest trailer forHonkai: Star Railconfirms that it will come out on PlayStation 5 in Q4 of 2023, so users will have to wait for some months before they can get their hands on it. The trailer otherwise includes footage from different parts of the game, featuring the newly addedHonkai: Star Railcharacter Silver Wolfand the upcoming Yukong. Q4 of 2023 is pretty far away, andHonkai: Star Railwould have received a bunch of updates by then. So, PlayStation fans starting a new account with this release will have a lot of catching up to do wheneverHonkai: Star Railcomes out.
It appears thatHonkai: Star Railwill not launch on PS4, despite earlier information making note of it coming to the previous generation console. While the announcement of its release on the PlayStation Blog does not specify a platform, the reveal trailer mentioned both PS5 and PS4. Perhaps the development team had trouble gettingHonkai: Star Railto run on PS4, which ultimately led to it only getting released for PS5 this year, though that’s just speculation at this time. It’ll be interesting to see ifHonkai: Star Railever comes to PS4, or any other console, in the future.
Version 1.1 ofHonkai: Star Railis now live, adding new events, quests, and items to the game. This new update also comes with a bunch of other improvements, such as a quality-of-life enhancement that allows gamers to continue sprinting when changing characters inHonkai: Star Rail. On the other hand, it looks likeVersion 1.1 ofHonkai: Star Railis missing a key feature, as the in-game chat is not available as yet.
