A hilarious glitch inStar Wars Jedi: Survivorcaused a player to encounter Skoova Stev when they least expected it. WhileStar Wars Jedi: Survivorfans may be used to running into the beloved angler in hidden corners of the game’s worlds, they didn’t think Skoova would follow them into outer space.
InStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, players encounter a boisterous Sakavian fisherman by the name of Skoova Stev, whom they can convince to return to Pyloon’s Saloon and maintain the defunct aquarium. Afterward, they can find him all across the waters ofKoboh and Jedha inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, catching fish and telling tales about his adventures.

However,Star Wars Jedi: Survivorplayer and Redditor iSpyt discovered Skoova Stev in the last place they thought he would appear. They experienced a particular bug inStar Wars Jedi: Survivorthat made Skoova’sship appear in the background every time the Mantis shows up in a cutscene. This resulted in an entertaining image of the fisherman’s schooner rocketing through space behind the Mantis, fishing rod and all.
ThoughStar Wars Jedi: Survivorhas received critical acclaim from fans, the game was subject to no small number of glitches. The PC port ofStar Wars Jedi: Survivorwas especially troubled, with performance issues and crashes abundant until a series of post-launch patches. As such, players havediscovered plenty of bugs inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor–some more frustrating than they were funny.
That said, this harmless glitch was certainly one of the better ones, and iSpyt’s fellowStar Wars Jedi: Survivorfans agreed. Some said it was no surprise Skoova wanted to fish the ponds and streams of Tanalorr, and wished the intrepid angler would have appeared there at least once. Others joked that he must have wanted to catch a purrgil after his first encounters with one of theStar Warsspace whales. Considering he does travel between multiple planets inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, many players thought it was no wonder his ship was spaceworthy, and wished this bug was an actual part of the game.
Many characters fromStar Wars Jedi: Survivorstole–or broke–the hearts of fans who met them, but Skoova Stev stood out due to his thrilling story, charming design, and excellent voice acting. Along with Turgle, Skoova was one of the most popular new characters in the game.Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’sending left plenty of room for a third entryto the story of Cal Kestis, so many players are praying Skoova Stev returns in the next chapter of the young Jedi’s journey.
