2022’s Pride Month has kicked off, and gaming companies worldwide have already set their sights on supporting their LGBTQIA+ communities to varying degrees. In the case of Microsoft andXbox, specifically, the company has a number of promotions and celebrations already underway, and some of them will be reflected in its most popular games, too.
Specifically, two majorXboxfranchises are going to commemorate Pride Month 2022 with a selection of thematically-appropriate cosmetics:ForzaandHalo. This should allow participating players themselves to show their support for LGBTQIA+ members of the community, and, in the case ofForzagames, upgrade the players' garages with an exotic new vehicle.

Featured alongside thenew Xbox controller and free Pride Month game, the new set of LGBTQIA+ cosmetics will automatically be awarded to all players who log into the games for which said cosmetics are made available. In the case of 343 Industries' “Unity” emblem and nameplate, this means logging intoHalo Infinite. Racing fans, on the other hand, will be able to access the unique Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster inForza Horizon 4,Forza Horizon 5, andForza Motorsport 7.
What makes these cosmetics particularly noteworthy is that they will be readily available to all players who wish to claim them over the course of June, which isn’t the case with all of Xbox’s 2022 Pride Month items. Namely, the limited-editionXbox Pride Month controller won’t be on sale, and will instead be exclusively provided to select influencers from across the globe.
Naturally, it’s also worth pointing out that bothHalo Infiniteand theForzagames go out of their way to celebrate similar events with limited-edition car vinyl wraps, nameplates, emblems, and more. In fact, this is an excellent way for players to stock up on some of thebest-looking cars inForzaHorizon 5. At the same time, these cars cannot be permanently reskinned, as they will revert to their unique wrap after the players attempt to customize them.
The Pride Month of 2022 is only just starting, and players interested in supporting the global LGBTQIA+ community should have plenty of in-game options to do so, withForzaandHaloleading the pack on Xbox. Last year, a number ofstreamers candidly discussed their LGBTQ identities, and similar content is bound to be available across the Internet in the coming days and weeks.
