Genshin Impacthas introduced three major regions so far which include Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma. Even though update 2.4 has added another smaller region named Enkanomiya, it seems as though Hoyoverse is not planning to stop expanding Teyvat anytime soon.

EachGenshin Impactregion has its own Oculus which can be submitted to a Statue of The Seven. By doing so, players can get precious rewards which include Primogems or increasing the stamina bar. An interesting leak has revealed more information about a new smaller region which will have its own Oculus.

Genshin Impact2.5 livestreamhas officially announced a new region named Chasm for update 2.6. Chasm will not be a new main region, but it will still take up a big portion of the map, similar to the Dragonspine mountains that were released back in update 1.2. A popularGenshin Impactleaker named GenshinBLANK has revealed that Chasm will have its own Oculus type named Lumenspar. There is no official information about the rewards that will be given out by submitting Lumenspar but most players are hoping for a much-needed stamina increase as it was the case for the first two regions Mondstadt and Liyue.

The number of Oculi that will be spread over Chasm is still unknown, but they will most likely have to be submitted to a new Statue of The Seven. According to multiple leaks, the new region will be divided into two different parts, the underground mines, and the aboveground terrain. In terms of height, the mines will be the lowest point of Teyvat, much deeper than the popularGenshin Impactregion Enkanomiya. Numerous map leaks show that Chasm will have a radial design with multiple teleport points.

There has been a lot of hype surrounding this region considering that its name has been displayed on the in-game map for many months now. This famous region will bring anew type ofGenshin Impactenemyfrom the Automaton family named Ruin Serpent. Players expect the Ruin Serpent to be a brand new world boss which is unusual for the Automaton enemy type.

Developer MiHoYo keeps adding new explorable terrain every other update with the Enkanomiya being the most recent addition. However, multiple leaks have already revealed that another majorGenshin Impactnation named Sumerucould be just around the corner. The story that revolves around Chasm will apparently serve as an introduction to this new major nation.

Genshin Impactis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
