Aru is an important NPC forThe Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpentquest inGenshin Impact. Who Is Aru In Genshin Impact?
Aru is an Afterimage in Enkanomiya that will assist the Traveler in finishing the trials in the region. Unlike the other Shades of Tokoyo, Aru is well aware that he’s not a living being, and is merely a projection of his past life.
After playersretrieve the three needed Fragments, Aru will reveal the final task; defeat thePrimordial Bathysmal Vishap. The dragon exists under Dainichi Mikoshi, and the Traveler must beat it to take theBloodbranch Coralthey possess.
Unlike regular Bathysmal Vishaps, this creature is purposely bred to bear the Watatsumi Omikami’s life force. Of course, to hold such great power, eventually,the Primordial Bathysmal Vishapbecomes exceedingly powerful too. That’s why, to retrieve the Bloodbranch Coral, there must be a “hero” to answer the call. Luckily for players, this part of the quest will be the last one (for now). Later on, Travelers can expect themselves to witness the Watatsumi Goryou Matsuri, the main reason why all these rituals are being done.
