It’s only inevitable that new and intriguing characters are introduced asGenshin Impact’s world continues to expand. The latest in the speculated list of future characters is Kamisato Ayato. He’s been teased several times now via dialogue and some character mentions. But he has yet to be seen in the flesh or properly introduced into the story.

New characters, after all, are all the rage inGenshin Impactsince their arrival poses new twists to the game’s ever-changing META. 10He’s Ayaka’s Older Brother

In any case, Thoma is commendably loyal to Ayato and even admires his traitsas a leader. It was even suggested through dialogue and background mentions thatit was Ayato who inspired Thoma to become ambitious enough to receive his own Vision.
8Ayato Usually Handles Administration
So why does Ayato need a man-servant like Thoma? Well, that’s becausehe rules the Kamisato Clan. A lot of players probably thought that it was Ayaka who was pulling the strings but she mostly acts as the face of the clan. Making appearances when needed and handling diplomatic affairs with eloquence.
Meanwhile,Ayato works in the backgroundand assumes the leadership tasks necessary for the Kamisato Clan to function and to remain powerful. Needless to say, the clan’s strategies and decision-making are left up to him. He is the older Kamisato child, after all.
7He Doesn’t Like Publicity
It might seem like Ayaka is the most introverted andsheltered characterinGenshin Impactat the moment but her older brother is even timider. Ayato purposely avoids being seen in public andprefers to stay hidden from plain sight. That’s probably why he gave the social responsibilities to Ayaka.

This behavior is likely a combination of his upbringing in the Kamisato Clan and alsothe stress and demands involved in his job as both the clan leader and the Yashiro Commissioner. To that end, Ayato’s time is precious, much like how Ningguang of the Liyue Qixing in Liyue keeps to her duties.
6He Has Excellent Sword & Polearm Skills
With that said, Ayato still has time to hone his skills in combat. He is a noble so that’s expected of him. There’sno confirmed weapon class for him yet(at least none officially) but his background states thathe’s highly proficient in both the sword and the polearm.
Hence, initial rumors that he could be a claymore user are more or less dispelled. If anything, Ayato has a big chance to be a sword user since it’s his clan’s specialty, similar to how Ayaka is also an excellent samurai. Some of the unsubstantiated leaks also claim that Ayato has some sword moves for attacks and that one of his abilities refers to a “Kendo Pose.” That’s all unconfirmed, of course.
5Players Might Have Heard Him Already
As for Ayato’s voice, there’s a big chance players have already gotten a sample of it in one of the most recentGenshin Impactcharacter teasers. That would beArataki Itto’s character trailer. At the end of the trailer, Thoma can be seen among the audience near the back and he wasn’t alone, apparently.

It seems that Ayato was with him but wasn’t displayed in the trailer.Speculations point that it was Ayato who replied to Thoma regarding a commentary about Itto’s stage playthey just witnessed. The voice is also that of a mature man and he evensounds a bit like Zhongli in the English dub.
4He’s One Of The Few People Who Can Find Sayu With Ease
As for Ayato’s sharpness and skill as an Inazuman warrior, he’s one of the best. Players already know Sayu, the ninja character who belongs to the Shuumatsuban, Inazuma’s dedicated ninja group. While Sayu has trouble growing bigger as a kid, she uses this to her advantage and makes it difficult for everyone to spot or find her.
In fact, in all of Inazuma, only one person has no trouble finding her: Ayato. Speculations as to why point to howAyato also owns the Shuumatsuban, which is also owned by the Yashiro Commission. Ayato easily finding his spies was probably part of the duties.

2Rumors Claim His Element Might Be Hydro
One of the biggest questions, whenever a Genshin Impact character gets teased, is their Vision element. That’s also quite important since elements play a big part in how they fit in with the current META. Now, it was mentioned before that there’s a chance Ayato’s abilities will complement Ayaka’s.
InGenshin Impact, one of the best partner elements for Cryo is none other than Hydro. So that’s a big suggestive arrow pointing to Ayato having a Hydro Vision. If he does use a sword, then he might play out similarly to Xingqiu or maybe someone like Childe if he can switch to a polearm mode. Another big suggestion is that Ayato will also fit in the role of the main DPS. Take all this with a grain of salt.
1He Might Have The Adult Male Character Model & A 5-star Rarity
Now, on to the biggest points of speculations, leaks, and rumors about Ayato: his appearance. Some of the earliest “fake leaks” spreading around on social media sites are third-party artist renditions of Ayato with long bluish-white hair carrying a claymore. But they merely imagined a male version of Ayaka.
If anything,Genshin Impactfanswho also playHonkai Impactposit that Ayato will look like Otto from the latter game. That is, a male adult with semi-loose blond hair. It’s worth noting that Otto and Ayato are listed to have the same voice actor, hence the speculations about similar appearance. For the rarity, well, a character teased but kept secret like this will probably be a 5-star. Best keep those Primogems reserved then.
