Fortnitedataminers could have discovered a Reality Augment that allows players to respawn after being eliminated. There are only a couple of days left in Chapter 4 Season 1, as while it was supposed to end March 10,Epic Games moved forward the end date of the seasonand now players only have until March 8 to complete the Battle Pass before it’s no longer accessible. March 9 will be a day riddled with excitement for mostFortnitefans, as they’ll finally enter a new stage of the game.

Chapter 4 Season 1 introduced Reality Augments toFortnite. These are temporary perks and abilities that players can unlock, and they remain active throughout an entire match. This was unlike anything that had ever been added to the game; it encouraged fans to come up with new strategies, and rewarded them for trying out new gameplay styles. Many players had concerns that Epic Games could remove Augments once a new season dropped. Thankfully, aFortniteNews Feed announcementmentioned that Reality Augments would remain in the game next season, and this eased the minds of many worried fans.

GMatrixGames, a notorious community leaker, claims that there will be anew type of Reality Augmentin the game next season: Legendary Augments. If this leak is eventually confirmed as fact, a Legendary Reboot Augment could be added at launch. It is unknown how this Augment could work, but according to the files, it’ll allow players to respawn upon death.

Players posted many concerned responses in the comments because, even if it is released as a rare Augment, it could still be game-breaking, as having the ability to respawn - especially in a solo match - could be an overpowered ability. Like certain siphoning Augments in the game, it is extremely likely that this one won’t be allowed incompetitiveFortnitegame modessince these matches can’t be as influenced by novelty elements of the game.

Leakers have been busy recently, and tons of information about the game’s future has already gotten out to the public. Although curiosity is hard to resist, even with a few days until the start of the season, leaks have arguably destroyed a part of the surprise that one feels when opening upFortnitefor the first time after the downtime is over and servers are restored. Hopefully, if the Reboot Reality Augment turns out to be real, it will be balanced and only work under specific conditions. Otherwise, it would be much too powerful and make it unfair to the other players.
