Final Fantasy 15’s Noctis Lucis Caelum is regarded by some as thebestFinal Fantasyprotagonist ever, as players just can’t get enough of the adventurous royal. Noctis fans will be pleased to know then, that they will soon have even more opportunity to spend time as the character.

Bandai Namco has now announced that Noctis will soon become a playable character in its successful fighting game,Tekken 7. The new character will be available in the game in spring 2018, the company confirms, as he’ll arrive on the scene wielding his Engine Blade and ready to beat down his opponents.

A Noctis reveal trailer shows the nextTekken 7character in action, punching, slashing and kicking his way to K.O-ing his opponents. The video also confirms that the upcoming DLC will introduce aFinal Fantasy 15stage, complete with the NPCs from Square Enix’s adventure.

Noctis can battle it out in front of the Hammerhead garage, as Ignis, Prompto, and Gladiolus can be seen cheering, whooping and encouraging their pal to fight on. Cindy and the chocobos also make an appearance, which is a nice touch.

Unfortunately, Bandai Namco says that Noctis will not be available in theTekken 7story campaign, despite what the trailer suggests. The company says that the cutscenes in the trailer are just “promotional” meaning that players won’t actually get to see Lars and Noctis go on a fishing trip.

Despite a lack of additional story content, manyFinal Fantasy 15fans are excited about Noctis' arrival inTekken 7as it is just the latest crossover betweenFinal Fantasy 15and other games. For example, there is alsoFF15content inAssassin’s Creed Origins, just giving them more ways to enjoy and appreciate Square Enix’s RPG no matter what they’re playing.

Tekken 7fans are also looking forward to the new DLC. Though many are hoping that many other characters from other games will be added toTekken 7, too.Fatal Fury’s Geese Howard was addedearlier this year, but there are plenty of other opportunities when it comes to post-launch characters. For example, one popular suggestion is forYakuza’s Kazuma Kiryu to be made playable.

At this point, it’s unclear what other crossover characters and stages Bandai Namco is working on and all of its focus may be on getting thisFinal Fantasy 15DLC right. The company will have surely heard the calls for more crossovers though, so fingers crossed it will deliver.

Tekken 7is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
