FIFA 22came with next-generation HyperMotion technology on PS5 and Xbox Series X.EA added over new 4000 animations toFIFA 22that were captured from a 11v11 match between professional footballers, but the PC version did not come with these new features.
FIFA 22consistently gets new updates that change the gameplay mechanics and implement general fixes. Like any other modern multiplayer game,FIFA 22gameplay is constantly evolving, and EA regularly applies buffs or nerfs to various aspects. The last few patches have received criticism from the fan base as players proclaim that the game was better before these updates. Now, EA Sports has shared details of a newFIFA 22update that addresses some issues across all the different game modes.

Patch 6.1 ofFIFA 22is now available on all versions of the game. The console and Stadia versions now get changes that were previously introduced in Update 6 for PC. According to the patch notes, players will not be able to perform stepovers and flicks for 500 milliseconds after initiating a Player Run. EA then lists other issues that will get fixed in this update, including the accuracy of a shot after a skill move and slide tackles being incorrectly called as fouls.
EA has also made improvements toCareer Mode inFIFA 22and added 2 new party games to Volta Arcade. The update comes with other general fixes, but it seems like Patch 6.1 does not address some major issues. In the replies to this Tweet, players are stating that the gameplay ofFIFA 22was fine for the first month or so, and it got ruined by subsequent updates. This seems to be a popular opinion as other fans are also wishing that EA never touched the game after its initial release.
Ultimate Team is by farFIFA 22’s most popular game mode and EA Sports is currently running a special promotion around silver cards. Some of the best players in the world are getting 74 rated silver cards with relatively juiced-up stats, and they are all easily obtainable viaSBCs inFIFA 22. However, this seems to be a filler promo that aims to keep users engaged between larger and more content-heavy events. Some Ultimate Team players are also waiting for EA to add Prime Icon Moments to the game and for the next major promotion to start before engaging with the content.
