Elden Ringhas only been out for a few weeks at this rate and players have already begun to speedrun it at an incredible rate. Now players seem to be breakingElden Ringspeedrunning records on a near-daily basis.
OneElden Ringplayer set the initial record for completing the game with a time of 2.5 hours. This was quite impressive at the time owing to a multitude of factors such as the fact that the game is known for being difficult, exceptionally long, and the short amount of time that the game had been out for. This run seemingly relied mainly on skill, as the player did not make much use of any skips or glitches and completed the game with a melee build, which is known for being more difficult than magic builds.

Unfortunately, the previous record did not last all that long, as within less than 24 hours anotherElden Ringspeedrunner beat the game in under an hour. YouTuber LilAggy then held the record for completingElden Ringwith a time of 59 minutes and 38 seconds. This impressive time was likely expected to last a while before being bested. However, this did not happen to be the case, as otherElden Ringplayers have since recorded even more impressive times.
Speedrunner and Twitch streamer Distortion2 set a new record for fastestElden Ringspeedrun with a time of 33 minutes and 55 seconds. The streamer then beat his own time within a few hours and posted an even more impressive time of 30 minutes and 24 seconds. This time was later beaten by Hazeblade, who completedElden Ringin less than 25 minutes.
AnotherElden Ringplayer has found a method that may soon be used to best the game in an even quicker time. A Redditor posted a video showcasing how theElden Ringsword dance weapon artallows players to cover great distances if used while airborne. If used correctly, it could possibly allow players to skip large sections of the game in order to complete it even quicker.
While some players are focusing on completing the game as quickly as possible, otherElden Ringplayers are attempting to beat bosses using ridiculous controllers. Streamer SuperLouis64 was surprisingly able to beat Godrick the Grafted using a strange system of bananas as a controller.
