Subtitled “Chaos at the World Tournament,” this new storyline is based onDragon Ball’s World Tournament Arc, which sees a teenage Goku face off against the villainous Ma Jr. – or as he is more commonly known, Piccolo – during the 23rd World Tournament competition. Screenshots of Goku and Piccolo in battle were released as part of thisDragon Ball Z: KakarotDLC announcement, and Bandai Namco promises that more information will be revealed in this month’sV Jumpmagazine.

So far,Dragon Ball Z: Kakarothas garnered mixed reactions due to ahost of technical issuesthat have prevented some players from upgrading to the Xbox Series X version. Not even the game’s supplementary content has been immune to these setbacks, asDragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s Bardock DLC reportedly has serious problems that have caused some to be locked out of the game altogether. Thankfully, it seems that developer CyberConnect2 has addressed these problems earlier this month.

Regardless, there will no doubt be plenty of gamers looking forward to theupcomingDragon Ball Z: KakarotDLC, especially since it will include characters and moments from the famous World Tournament story arc. This arc featured the final battle between Goku and Piccolo before the latter’s redemption inDragon Ball Z, and will likely make for some exciting and memorable gameplay once this latestDragon Ball Z: KakarotDLC eventually launches.
