With the release of the third update inDisney Dreamlight Valley, players get additional content like a new story quest along with two new characters to unlock. While one can only be acquired by completing the story quest, the other is hidden ina similar manner as Stitch was.
This second character, Mirabel, can only be unlocked and brought to the village after players find the item that starts a quest called ‘The Golden Door Knob’. Unlike Stitch, the process for unlocking Mirabel is significantly less time-consuming. Here is howDisney Dreamlight Valleyplayers can start and complete this quest.

Where to Find the Door Knob
In order to start this quest,Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers will need to first find the door knob for Casita. Look for the door knob sitting on the ground in the Peaceful Meadow. It will sparkle like any item that players can pick up. Upon picking it up, players will receive the quest ‘The Golden Door Knob’. There is nota realm that players can visitfor this quest.
Talk to Merlin
The first step of this quest is to find Merlin and talk to him. Naturally, Merlin already knows that the door knob belongs to a magical house called Casita. Since the Forgetting, Casita had vanished along with its resident,Mirabel Madrigal. With the door knob now back in Dreamlight Valley, it may be possible to bring both Casita and Mirabel back. In order to do this, however, players will need to prove to Casita that Dreamlight Valley is safe.
In order to do this,Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers will need to complete a few tasks. Players must take a picture with three different villagers, give favorite gift to two different villagers, and have a daily discussion with two different villagers. It doesn’t matter who players pick, and players can triple-dip. For example, players can take a picture with Elsa, give her one of her favorite items, and then have a daily discussion with her.
Return to Merlin
After these tasks are complete,speak with Merlinagain. There is one final task before players can bring Mirabel to the village, and all that remains is to amass 500 Dreamlight. If players already have at least 500 Dreamlight, this step will automatically complete, and then they can speak with Merlin again. If players don’t have 500 Dreamlight, they can get more by completing Duties listed on the menu. This includes things like selling items, removing Night Thorns, cooking meals, and other similiar tasks.
Pick a Spot for Casita
The final step for this quest is to pick a spot for Casita. While Merlin claims that it is a “Mini” version of Casita, players will need to plan ahead as Casita is one of the largest buildings in the game.Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayers may need to move some buildings and objects around to have enough room. Once Casita is placed, Mirabel will appear at the fountain in the Plaza at the same spot as othercharacters like Ana. After speaking with Mirabel, the quest will complete and players will have successfully unlocked her.
