Destiny 2developer Bungie is making a ton of changes to the way Eververse works in Year 2. Cosmetics and customization options will still be available in Tess Everis’ store but there will be even more ways to obtain her items without paying real money. Moreover, there will be new ways to earn Bright Dust so that players can outright purchase the items they want, without relying on the randomization of abright engram.
Ghost Projections and Weapon Skins
The two new items entering the Eververse pool forDestiny 2Year 2 are ghost projections and legendary weapon skins. Ghost projections are account-wide symbols that will appear for the player any time they pull out their ghost for navigation. Above is an example of a ghost projection featuring the Jade Rabbit symbol.
Legendary weapon skins are not new forDestiny 2but they are going to be new for Eververse. Essentially these will serve as redesigns for the weapon skin, offering a different look without changing the frame.

Eververse Bounties
The biggest change for Eververse in Year 2 is the introduction of Bounties, which will refresh every week. In order to acquire an Eververse Bounty, players will need to a Bounty Note, which comes from opening a bright engram.
Once players have a Bounty Note they can choose between three tiers of Bounty:

There are a few restrictions to Eververse Bounties, mainly that players can only hold 1 of each type at a time. Additionally, the Bounties must be completed within a week or else they will expire. Bungie did not give any indication as to what these bounties will entail, but it’s safe to assume the higher tier ones will require more effort than a tier 1.
Prismatic Matrix and Other Changes
It wastaken offline partway through Season 3, but the Prismatic Matrix will be available throughout Season 4. But rather than acquiring a Prismatic Facet from a bright engram, there will be a special Eververse Bounty that rewards the Facet each week.
Other items of note from the weekly Bungie blog post include:
Overall, it sounds like Bungie is givingDestiny 2players more ways to interact with Eververse to guarantee items from the store. Most importantly, players will have new routes towards acquiring Bright Dust, which is a much-needed improvement. With Bright Dust, players will be able to save up and “buy” the Eververse items that they really want rather than hoping for a bright engram drop or relying on thePrismatic Matrix.
