With the Season of Arrivals continuing on due to theDestiny 2: Beyond Lightdelay, Bungie is trying to mix things up in order to keep fans happy and playing through the extended time. Along with more weekly events like Iron Banner, Bungie has also lessened restrictions on certain activities such as Raids, allowing players better and more chances toscore exclusive raid loot each week. With Lord Saladin gone from the Tower, players have noticed a few additional perks for loot farming this week inDestiny 2.
In a bit of a stealth update, Bungie is rewarding players who take onNightfall Ordeal missions by making all rewards double. This is similar to an accidental activation a few months ago, but since it was so well received by the community, Bungie has intentionally brought it back forDestiny 2players to enjoy. Thankfully, this bonus comes at a great time due to which weekly Nightfall is currently available to run.

The former PS4 exclusive strike, Lake of Shadows, is listed as an Ordeal Nightfall this week. As it turns out, this strike mission is one of the game’s shortest and easiest strikes to complete, making it the perfect time to farm resources like glimmer as well as better exotic drop chances.
The community has already started to churn out tips and tricks for maximizing Lake of Shadows runs. Over on theDestiny 2subReddit, players have started a thread with some best practices for making the most out of each run. Things like using token boosters from Zavala to increase loot even more, use Taken mods to boost damage or protect against attacks, swords like the Falling Guillotine make short work of enemies even if they have a shield, and much more.
As players continue to wait for Beyond Light to arrive, Bungie apparently has been fairly busy behind the scenes. Not only has the studio continued to roll out new updates and information regarding the expansion, such as details on the three new subclasses and the Destiny Content Vault, but reports have been circulating about the future of the studio itself. While reports have since been disputed, there was plenty of discussion surroundMicrosoft’s attempt to purchase Bungie. As many may remember, the two were originally linked, creating the lucrative Halo franchise before Bungie split off to startDestinywith Activision. As of now, the acquisition talk is simply rumor and nothing else, as Bungie continues to shoot down these reports.
Destiny 2: Beyond Lightis available on November 10 for PC, PS4, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. A PS5 version is also in development.
