To commemorate the launch ofDestiny 2on PC, one artist has taken it upon himself to create pretty niffy retro style box art for the game.
Artist Yone Santana is taking gamers back to a simpler time, when packaging for video games was an art form. Clearly inspired by Atari game boxes of old, he’s created what he imagines would be theDestiny 2box art, if it were released around thirty years ago. His medium is ink for the art itself, with the frame created in Photoshop. He truly captures the style, even going so far as to alter the Bungie logo to fit the period.

As for the game itself, Bungie has been dishing out a small number of bans toDestiny 2players on the PC. Given that it hasn’t even been a full week since the PC version released, the situation left the community puzzled. Bungie has attempted to clear things up, stating thatplayers who were banned were using tools that posed a threatto the ecosystem of the game. It was also noted that players using video capturing devices and other recording tools were not a part of the ban wave, despite some assumptions to the contrary.
Anxious players who want to know what’s next forDestiny 2have begun pouring over the game’s files to uncover hidden secrets or hints at upcoming content. A few unearthed voice lines suggest areturn of the original patrol zonesfrom the first game. Curiously, these voice lines are all spoken by the leaders of the three factions: Future War Cult, New Monarchy, and Dead Orbit. This could indicate old patrols will eventually be a part of the game’s Faction Rally event. There is also evidence the old patrols might be part of the upcoming Curse of Osiris DLC instead.
Speaking of Osiris, another dataminer dug up a separate collection of voice lines that indicate the WarlockOsiris may be returningto the Tower. One of the lines comes from Lord Shaxx, who outright says that Osiris has returned. None of the voice lines clearly state he will be encountered at the Tower – he could wind up in another social space – but most of them do express their disdain for the exiled Guardian. Since he’s the subject of an upcoming DLC, most questions regarding Osiris will likely be cleared up upon its release.
