It’s official:Death Strandingis launching this year. Sony released a brand new trailer for Hideo Kojima’s highly anticipated first post-Konami project andconfirmed theDeath Strandingrelease date for November 8, exclusively on the PlayStation 4. In addition to revealing theDeath Strandingrelease date, Sony has also detailed the game’s pre-order bonuses as well as what’s coming in the $200 Collector’s Edition.
As was expected, theDeath Strandingpre-order bonusesthat leaked on the PlayStation Store prior to the game’s release date announcement have proven to be accurate. Anyone that pre-ordersDeath Strandingwill get a dynamic theme, a Chibi Ludens PSN avatar, and four in-game items: Gold “Sam” Sunglasses, Gold Armor Plate, Gold Hat, and Gold Speed Skeleton. These items will have to be earned in-game, and seem to be just gold versions of items all players will get, with no special in-game advantages as far as we can tell.

Death Stranding Standard Edition
TheDeath Strandingstandard edition ($59.99) comes with the base game as well as the following pre-order bonus items:
Death Stranding Special Edition
TheDeath Strandingspecial edition ($69.99) comes with all the pre-order bonus items as the standard edition, plus an additional Gold “Ludens Mask” Sunglasses in-game item. TheDeath Strandingspecial edition also includes a custom steelbook, as well as theDeath Stranding: Timefalldigital music album/behind-the-scenes digital video.
Death Stranding Digital Deluxe Edition
TheDeath Strandingdigital deluxe edition ($79.99) comes with all of the pre-order bonuses as the standard edition. It also includes the Gold “Ludens Mask” Sunglasses, a Gold Power Skeleton, a Gold All-Terrain Skeleton, and a Gold Armor Plate (Level 2).
