In true CD Projekt RED fashion,Cyberpunk 2077has gotten another free DLC. This time around, it’s the update 1.6 that comes bundled with the new content featuring new gigs, a tie-in theme to theEdgerunnersNetflix anime, and of course, new weapons. The most exciting among those would be the weapons as they’re some of the most unique that the game has on offer.

In total, update 1.6 adds 11 new weapons to the game. But some of them are certainly more powerful or more interesting than others. They’re also somewhat difficult to find blindly (especially the higher rarities); so players might want to know the best of them, so they can hunt them down inCyberpunk 2077.Collectors of Night Citywill want to get started with these new weapons.
8MA70 HB
The Midnight Arms MA70 HB is a good counterbalance for the Light Machine Gun weapon class inCyberpunk 2077.Goodness knows how much love they need. While they’re still not the best guns in the game due to the slow reload and high recoil, the MA70 HB is a cut above the rest.
It has a slightly faster reload speed compared to the other Light Machine Guns. Sadly, players will need a Body Attribute of 10 or more in order to wield this Light Machine Gun properly. Otherwise, the recoil will be unbearable. In terms of damage, it will shred enemies at a safe distance, like most Light Machine Guns.

7VST-37 Pozhar
Automatic Shotguns inCyberpunk 2077are still a force to be reckoned with, and the developers are merely compounding that sentiment with the VST-37. The best part is that players don’t have to aim (not like aiming with a shotgun is optimal, anyway). Due to the Power specification, the bullets will ricochet.

This makes the VST-37 ideal for taking out enemies indoors in small rooms. A lot of gigs play out that way, so players can consider this shotgun as the perfect gig companion. The weapon does pride itself in having “high” everything, and that includes recoil, but that shouldn’t be a problem thanks to the ricochet potential.
6Kappa
The Kappa is another Smart PistolinCyberpunk 2077and those kinds of handguns are always welcome in the game. They’re awesome weapons in the hands of Quickhackers who utilize Short Circuit to its full potential. Kappa, however, can lock on to two targets at the same time, though the range has to be quite close for this to happen.
Regardless, it’s still a decent weapon. The damage type might not be ideal, however, especially for Short Circuit builds. But it has an impressive Crit Damage increase and a nice Headshot Damage Multiplier to make up for that. It won’t be the best replacement for the lovable Skippy, but it can be a damage-type alternative.

5Kyubi
Ever dream of having a futuristic version of an M1 Garand in Night City? Then look no further than the Kyubi Assault Rifle. It’s a semi-automatic weapon that’s probably not the most conducive killing device in Night City, but it works well with a silencer.

The per-round damage is high enough to counteract the silencer’s damage reduction. Players will need to make sure that they get mostly headshots since the firing rate is not that fast. Even so, the Kyubi is very accommodating to mods and has hefty amounts of damage bonuses to compensate.
4Neurotoxin Knife
The Neurotoxin Knife ought to make Poison Ninjutsu builds ecstatic with theEdgerunnersupdate. This DLC knife is exactly what it sounds like, a venomous and deadly weapon specifically crafted for the slickest of cobra assassinsin Night City.
Sure enough, it has a high chance to trigger poison, therefore also triggering the numerous poison-related perks in the Ninjutsu skill tree. Overall, it’s a weapon that makes poison builds even more interesting and exciting to play. It doesn’t really have many uses outside of Poison Ninjutsu or Contagion builds.

3Cut-O-Matic
From the scarlet battlefields of theWarhammer 40Kfranchise comes this unholy missing link between the machete and the chainsaw. Only, the game makes it sound like some kind of Home Shopping Network kitchen knife. Still, the Cut-O-Matic is a formidable blade.

It has a high Crit Chance and a decent chance to trigger Bleeding. The damage is mostly Physical so nothing exciting there, but the Cut-O-Maticwill cleave enemies in halfin no time. Apparently, it’s also noisy so not workable for stabby stealth builds so keep that in mind.
2Hypercritical
By farone of the most bustedPrecision Rifles in the game right now, the Hypercritical is more of a hurricane of lead bullets than a sniper’s tool. Due to its ricochet potential, this gun can even function like a shotgun but with therange of a sniper rifle. Sometimes players can use it to hit multiple enemies.
Anything that does this kind of damage to multiple targets at long range is a recipe for destruction. It does have its limitations. The Hypercritical only holds eight rounds and requires a Body stat number of 15 in order to utilize properly. That’s a fair tradeoff for something that hits like a train.

1Senkoh LX
It’s a weapon crafted by Arasaka’s engineers, so players can expect the Senkoh LX to have bleeding edge tech, and it certainly lives up to its reputation. Because this is one of the few guns in the game that can shoot through multiple layers of cover and walls.
Players don’t even need to look at the enemies directly, they can just use Ping and then shoot through everyone who’s highlighted red. At the same time, the Senko LX is also probably the most stylish gun in the game; it’sright up there with Katanaswhen it comes toNight City swag.

Cyberpunk 2077is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
