Call of Duty: Warzone’s problems with hackers have been well documented, as those seeking to play the game unfairly are continuing to flood the servers. Rather than the latestCall of Duty: Warzonehack giving players a new advantage, though, it instead shows off an unreleased weapon camo in action.
That is not to say that the hacker with the camo isn’t cheating, however. Caught during a stream from pro player Repulize, the hacker is making use ofCall of Duty: Warzone’s devastating silent aimhack. This sees them walking around the map and no-scoping randomly, though their bullets still hit their targets regardless of how far away they are. Aiming down the sights is not even required, making silent aim hacks some of the worst to ever be seen in the game.

However, silent aims hacks have been in the game for a few months now. As such, while it is frustrating to see theCall of Duty: Warzonestreamergetting killed by one of these cheaters, it is sadly expected at this point. However, what is a bit more surprising is the enemy player’s weapon camo. Shown while Repulize was spectating the player, their random firing was matched with the Dark Aether camo fromCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarZombies. While the streamer is clearly furious, cursing and jumping out of their chair, many - including the YouTuber JGOD - were shocked by the enemy’s gun.
Still, the hacker’s username of IUnlockStuff implies that they have experience with getting access to items that they should not have. While it is surprising to see Dark Aether, similar hacks have seeminglyunlocked the long-awaited Soap skin early. Though it remains to be seen when or if Dark Aether will come toCall of Duty: Warzoneofficially, it is in the game’s files. As such, hackers can make it usable inside their games, pairing it with whatever broken gun they are using to sneak their way to victory.
While it had previously been stated thatthe Dark Aether camowould come toCall of Duty: Warzone, this statement was made back when the integration withCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfirst began. As such, it has been nine months since fans were last teased about Dark Aether, with the glowing purple mastery camo nowhere to be found. While this is disappointing, using an unreleased item is a good way to get banned — especially when it is combined with a silent aim cheat.
On the bright side,Call of Duty: Warzonecheatersusing custom skins and unreleased camos does make them easier to spot. As such, players can at least keep an eye out for the Dark Aether camo and report anyone they see using it.
