Call of Duty: Warzonehas had a long history with cheating, with the problem getting so bad that a special anti-cheat system had to be created for the game. While Ricochet has worked to some extent, cheating still happens withinCall of Duty: Warzone, and a player recently outed themselves using some hacks.
This is hardly the first time that a gamer has been caught cheating inCall of Duty: Warzone, though, as there have been several examples of something like this taking place. Fans of the battle royale title have seenaimbot users inCall of Duty: Warzonebannedon Twitch, shamed cheaters in their matches for blatantly using hacks, and seen other streamers call out their fellow content creators for hacking.

The latest example ofcheating inCall of Duty: Warzonecomes from a regular player as opposed to a streamer, though it is not any less obvious that they are hacking. While the victim of the cheater could not see any red boxes like they would if they were watching the hacker’s screen, the level of accuracy in the killcam is absolutely absurd. After perfectly snapping to one enemy and gunning them down, their sights instantly move to ThisMemeWontDie, the Redditor that posted the clip.
Not a single shot is missed, and just like with the first killed enemy, the cheater fires the exact amount of shots needed to kill ThisMemeWontDie. Unfortunately, this is nothing out of the ordinary, asCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers catch cheaters all the time by inspecting killcams. ThisMemeWontDie did the right thing by reporting the cheater, too, as for whatever reason theRicochet anti-cheat systemfailed to catch the hack being used. However, what make this scenario unique is the attempt that the hacker makes to disguise their hacking and fool those watching a killcam.
At the start of the killcam, they are seen pulling out one ofCall of Duty: Warzone’s heartbeat sensors, making it look as if this is how they knew ThisMemeWontDie was outside. In reality, they likely had wall hacks, though what makes this attempt at disguising a cheat so laughable is that it does not excuse the hacker’s aim in any way. With unnatural accuracy being what really outed the cheater, the use of a heartbeat sensor is a pointless attempt to hide hacks. Alongside 2,000 upvotes, many praised the Redditor for reporting the cheater and laughed at the hacker’s heartbeat sensor trick.
Withthe upcomingCall of Duty: Warzone 2giving Raven Software a chance to have a fresh start, hopefully an even better version of Ricochet is ready to go on day one. WhileWarzonehas had its issues with balancing and bugs, hackers have been the biggest detriment to the game.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
