ForCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans, it is finally time to celebrate the release of Season 5. This update brings a ton ofnew content toModern WarfareandWarzone. Playlist updates, game fixes, new weapons, a new Operator, and plenty of items to unlock in the Season 5 Battle Pass. Alongside the Season 5 update is the 1.24 patch, which fixes many issues and updates some aspects of the game.

As with any bigModern Warfareupdate, there is an almost overwhelming amount of changes to the game right now. First of all there aresome map and playlist changes. Players will now see Verdansk International Airport in Ground War, Livestock in Gunfight, Oil Rig and Harbor 24/7, and Search and Destroy Double Down (12v12).Warzoneplayers will see Duos, Trios, Quads, Solo Buy Back, Blood Money Quads, and Mini Royale Trios (which is fast paced and takes place in a condensed area of the map).

For general changes, one of the biggest updates is the addition of weapon inspection. This favoriteCall of Duty feature has been highly teasedrecently, and it is great to see it already added into the game. Other updates include character model fixes as well as player choice of weapon fire and scope state changing to default when after interacting with objects. Stopping Power rounds will now stay on dropped weapons, and footstep intensity now has a slow decay from players stop sprinting.

There are plenty ofModern Warfaremultiplayer changes. Multiple audio bugs have been fixed alongside collision and wallbang issues. Exploits involving Recon Drones and Care Packages as well as an unlimited ammo bug have all been resolved. An ammo issue with the PKM – Bludgeoner has also been fixed, so now it can collect ammo from any PKM gun.

On theWarzoneside of things, there are new loot items as well asweapon balances for several guns. Weapons in the Gulag will now rotate weekly between four sets. Issue with the Heartbeat Sensor and Air Strikes not working properly have been fixed as well. Respawning dead players with the Most Wanted contract has been fixed to respawn them in the Gulag no matter their state. Challenge fixes, helicopter physics issues, and voice lines have been dealt with as well.

Season 5 has givenModern Warfareplayers plenty to enjoy with the new updates, and it will be interesting to see how players respond to these changes. With a newCall of Dutystill unannounced, it is great tosee this one getting continuous updatesalongside a dedicated player community.
