Set to launch on August 16, the biggest addition inSeason 9 is the Gunsmith featurefound inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, which allows players a deep level of weapon customization far above what many other games have allowed. There are plenty of possibilities that come with the Gunsmith feature, and it could mean that, at some point, blueprints may be making an appearance in the game, providing players with new weapon options. This update is rather large as a result of the feature, so the update schedule has been interrupted. Expect spontaneous updates that will ensure all features are ready and working before launch.
Another highly anticipated feature inCall of Duty Mobileis the addition of Shipment 1944. The map will be a close replica of Shipment, thepopularModern Warfaremapknown for its small size and rapid action. Players will have an easier time leveling operators and weapons while in the close-knit battles the map allows for.
Fans will also see the appearance of a new weapon in the game. The Kilo Bolt-Action DMR will be making an appearance as thefirst Marksman rifle to be added, and leveling through the battle pass will allow players to use the powerful long-range rifle. Extra loadout slots will give fans the perfect opportunity to try the new rifle, along with experimenting on some of their own weapons builds within the game.
The game’s battle royale mode will also be getting a boost, adding in self-manufactured guns via airdrops that can be called in during a match. Players will be seeing new locations on the map, and even more events scattered throughout the game-mode, spicing things up. The update’s patch notes provide a full list of content making it into the game, which should provide fans with plenty to do, especially considering that it’s a mobile entry into the franchise.
Call of Duty Mobileis available on both Android and iOS devices.
