When the episode begins, Buffy kills Caleb (Nathan Fillion) and has a deep, important discussion with Angel (David Boreanez). AfterAngel moved away from Sunnydale, Buffy moved on, and now, she tells him that if they will ever be together again, it won’t be for a long time. Angel and Spike (James Marsters) envy each other, which adds some extra drama to an already heightened series finale.

She also supports a teenager who can see the future, including when she’s going to die.
