Players will start to take on more dangerous foes as their infamy rank increases, and not having armor equipped is a gamble. Aggressive NPCs like Rogues and Privateers commonly have ships level 6 or higher, and Rogues are alsopartial to using Burners, which will give ships the Ablaze status effect. The Bastion II’s Fire protection makes it a good choice when taking on Supply Orders for The Helm since Rogues are practically unavoidable.

Kawaca II is a late-game hull armor players can only get if they discover The Helm and earn Helm Coins,aka Pieces of Eight. The only way to get Pieces of Eight is to finish Supply Orders for The Helm. The Kawaca II protects against Flooding, Piercing, and Fire damage. It also has the Rampart perk, which reduces damage from ramming by 75%. Ramming is a common tactic used by enemy ships, but bracing and having good armor equipped causes it to backfire on them quickly and often causes more damage than it would deal.
