Saving Findal
The first part of this process is critical. When players start hearing the Goblins talking about killing the poor halfling, the player and the team need to attack the Goblins. Be sure todisable the Guardian Statuesfirst or else risk disappearing in what will be a one-shot kill against most characters at this stage of the game.
The next part gives players more trouble. After clearing the Goblins, interacting with Findal, downed at 1 HP, only allows players to “speak” with him. He’s barely alive and cannot respond. In Stealth, players can also pickpocket the half-dead man. The answer is not obvious, but the solution to saving Findal is to heal him with a spell.Change party membersand get somebody who still has some kind of healing spell (it does not have to be a strong one). After healing Findal for any amount, players can interact with him and he’ll safely make his way back to Druid Grove.
