While there are plenty of iconic actors known for their work in video games, from Troy Baker and Nolan North to Jennifer Hale and Laura Bailey, Ashly Burch will be taking the spotlight in 2022.
While Burch has played many great video game characters over the years, she has been heard more and more ever since she played Chloe Price inthe originalLife is Strange. Since this breakout performance, she has gone on to voice one of PlayStation’s rising stars and has returned to one of her most popular roles. These two characters, Aloy and Tiny Tina, will be the focus of some of the biggest games of 2022 – and by extension, so will Ashly Burch.

Aloy In Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Forbidden Westwill mark Aloy’s second outing as a playable character, with players once again returning to the world of machines. As of now, it is unclear if players will get to experience more of theFlashpoint dialogue sequenceswhere they can control how Aloy responds in certain situations, though she will likely have a similar personality to the one seen inHorizon Zero Dawnregardless.
Given how bigHorizon Forbidden West’s worldand story will likely be, it would make sense if Aloy had a whole lot of dialogue. As such, Burch should have plenty of chances to leave an impression on players once again, making them like Aloy even more than they already do. Hopefully, Aloy’s next story is well-written and full of impactful moments so that Burch is given a great script to work with. If this happens, fans could be treated to one of the best performances of the year.
Tiny Tina In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
The month afterHorizon Forbidden Westreleases,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandswill launch, with Burch once again placed in the starring role. This time, she’ll be playing a very different character, as an explosives-loving teenager is nothing like a Nora Hunter. Through Tina, Burch will get to show her acting range once again. While she played an older version of the character inBorderlands 3,Tina will be Tiny once againin her upcoming spin-off. As such, Burch will be putting on a younger voice to better suit the character.
While players will get to experience a more serious performance from Burch in the form of Aloy, her next appearance as Tiny Tina should provide gamers with plenty of laughs. Though there is potential for Tina to get serious like she did at the end ofAssault on Dragon Keep, the vibe given from the trailers thus far has been one focused fully on fun. With Tina being the dungeon master once again, players can expect lots of ridiculous encounters and fourth wall breaks as they play through the story, and Burch will surely do a great job with whatever she is given.
While it would be impressive enough to star in two of next year’s most anticipated titles, the fact that Burch is leading both games shows just how talented she is. With both characters being so popular, many will be happy to see where their stories go next. Though it remains to be seen if the games the characters feature in will be better or worse than what came before, fans are guaranteed to experience some more stellar performances fromAshly Burchno natter what.
