A new leak suggests thatApex Legendswill have a major change in Season 16. Currently, the battle royale is in Season 15, which 105-day duration is set to be the second longest in the game’s history. Season 15 has released several contents for players such as events, the new Broken Moon map, and thenew defensive legend Catalyst. Another point that has generated commotion within the community is the criticism directed at Respawn Entertainment.Apex Legendsplayers have been heavily criticizing the Season 15 content, accusing Respawn of releasing content that was just rehashed, rather than new and original. This has caused unprecedented disapproval from the community, with reactions such as a wave of dislikes on the Wintertide Collection Event trailer. With 50,000 dislikes, this is the most dislikedApex Legendstrailer on YouTube. Another criticism has been for the lack of buffs and nerfs, which is leaving the game’s meta stagnant even with the addition of Catalyst. A new leak, however, suggests that a change is coming to shake up the meta.RELATED:Apex Legends Solo vs Squads Kill World Record Finally BrokenData miner ThordanSmash revealed that the new supply bins discovered by content creator KralRindo will only be available for assault legends. ThordanSmash discussed the matter in a video on his YouTube channel and explained that the new perk will have more ammo and weapon attachments that only the assault class will be able to use. Assault legends are the offensive characters in the game, including Mad Maggie, Revenant, and Ash, a character for whomApexLegendsplayers are asking for buffs. The leak corroborates earlier information that supports legends can access “support bins,” previously available only to Lifeline.
ThordanSmash talks in the video that Respawn would be looking to add a new class system, in which existing classes will receive new perks to make them more viable. The data miner also mentions the existence of a skirmisher class that can see what is inside the care package but gives no further details. These changes do not rule out the release of buffs and nerfs, in that the video mentions that Lifeline will receive a buff that will make the care package land faster. Another piece of information cited by ThordanSmash is the rumor ofApex Legendsadding a hardcore mode.
Rumors need to be taken with a pinch of salt, something theApex Legendscommunity is used to because of frequent leaks. Nevertheless, the changes revealed by ThordanSmash are capable of reshaping the game’s meta, potentially adding more balance and teamwork. While not 100% confirmed information, this leak can perhaps explain thelack of buffs and nerfs in Season 15.Apex Legendsplayers can only wait to see if Respawn will make things official or if new leaks will appear, as Season 16 arrives only in early February next year.
