In fact, the last time a traditional single-playerAlone in the Darkgame was released was 2008’sAlone in the Dark.Alone in the Darkwas originally supposed to make its big comeback in October 2023, but the decision was made to delay its release date to avoid competing with the other major games that were releasing that month, likeSpider-Man 2,Super Mario Bros. Wonder, andAlan Wake 2.
The latestAlone in the Darkrelease date delayisn’t because of all the other big games releasing in January 2024, though that month is surprisingly busy as well. Instead, it’s so the developers at Pieces Interactive don’t have to stress about getting the game ready for launch during the holidays. TheAlone in the Darkrelease date delay will ensure that the developers don’t have to crunch over Christmas to get the game ready in time. THQ and Pieces want to ensure that the game “not only meets but exceeds” what fans are expecting. “We understand that many people are eagerly awaiting the release, but your patience will be rewarded. Alone in the Dark Release Date
For those that haven’t been following the game, the newAlone in the Darkis a re-imagining of the original from 1992.
